had surgery on june 4 2003 and it was covered by blue shield in need of an endocsopy

my surgery was covered by blue shield, i no longer have blue shield and i have been haveing severe acid reflux since august and i am in need of an endoscopy to find out whats going on, wouldn't blue shield be the one to cover the endoscopy since they coveres my surgery and i am having a complication from the surgery, and help would be greatly appreciated thank you so much.
