is it OK for a Roux-en-Y bypass patient to have a health screening colonoscopy .

I am 50 years old and my PCP wants me to have a colonoscopy due to age related development of polyps and cancer in my age group. I also had uterine cancer two years ago which increases my risk. Can a Rouex-en-Y bypass patient have a colonoscopy or is it dangerous ?
