B-12 being stored in liver..

On the 18th I went to my PCP first checkup post surgery. Weight loss 49 lbs..(he about fell off his stool) My blood tests were all normal. My protein and B-12 were perfect.. My PCP says B-12 is stored in the liver and I should have enough to last 5 years. Not sure if that applies to Gastric Bypass patients or not I'll ask my surgeon on my 8 week checkup with him.. Maybe the site doctor can respond to that..
