severed phrenic nerve cause elevated diaphram..Will this hender having open RNY
I have always had elevated left lung after a speen removal in 1974, however, today after a physical at my PCP, and doing x-rays and other tests I now know the cause was a severed phrenic nerve. I have had many episodes of pneumonia and pleurisy. My question is or will this be a problem during surgery with the anesthesia or the surgery itself.
