treating adhesions, open or lap ?

I have been having lower abdominal pain and cramping. My pcp ordered a CT scan. There was a mass in the lower left side. It was thought to be an ovarian remenant with cysts. I had a diagnostic laparascopy done by an OBGYN. He found no ovary, but many adhesions attached to my bowels and lower colon, pulling them up out of their normal positon. Also, they were adhered to the omentum. He said he'd see me in 2 weeks, and if the pain was there, he'd refer me to a general surgeon. He said if they were to do more surgery, it would probably be open, and that they may scrape the abdominal wall, to remove the scar tissue, and release the adhesions. Has anyone had this problem, and how successful was surgery? was your pain relieved? Anyone have this done through a scope? Thanks for your help! DeeAnn R
