What to do after appeal is sent?

My PCP has sent an appeal letter but Cigna tells me that it will take 30 days to show up in the system so they can tell me if I was approved or denied. I feel like when I call them that I am talking to someone who doesn't have a clue about answering my questions. I there someone specific I need to ask for? Help
