Has anyone gotten down to two weeks pre-op, then changed docs

Just two weeks pre-op and first I find out a co-worker using the same doc dies, then in scaning the site I learn that the doc will soon stop accepting all insurance. I jumped up and called another doc; question is do I have to start all over, I surely hope not, really in the dumps about having to start the waiting game all over again. Family Help! PLEASE HELP
