Can I still have surgery with these complications?

Today I had an upper GI which is required by my dr. before surgery (my surgery isn't scheduled yet). He said I have esophagitis, an esophageal ulcer and a hiatial ulcer. I am not even sure what these are!!! I have a follow up with him next Wed, but was wondering if any of you could help me out? Could I get the hernia repaired if I am going to have a lap rny at the same time? Are these dangerous? Will I still be able to have surgery?
