Any suggestions how to get rid of hiccups?

I'm hiccuping like mad as I type this and feeling very sick. I'm 9 months post-op and have had this happen to me before. Any suggestions about how to get rid of them since I just ate and can't do the usual drinking water? I've tried holding my breath, but they go away for a few minutes and then come right back. I know this won't get posted in time to help me tonight, but maybe for future reference it would help.
