If you are approved for one type of WLS, can you switch to a different type and still

I haven't been approved yet. I hope to hear next week. I hope this doesn't jinx me but, if they do approve me for the RNY Proximal, can I change my mind and go for the Lap Band? Since they just approved that type of surgery, and my doctor was one of the surgeons who was in the FDA study, do I have to re apply for approval? This has taken nearly the whole 60 days so far, and I would hate to wait another 60 days. Thanks everyone. ---Annie
