Anyone not had Provera work after missed periods? No period in 6 months (15month p/o)

I haven't had my period in almost 6 months, cannot be exact b/c its been so long. I'm 23 and 15 months post-op. I surpassed my goal weight and am happy to be 125#, I assume weight loss has had something to do with this, but I'm starting to get worried. My GYN put me on Provera, but almost 2 weeks after taking all the pills- still no period! I am going to see her again, but wondering if any of you have had similar experiences. I've had ovarian cysts before, painful but not serious, so I was put on birth control. PLan to go on the patch (ortho evra) soon, but need a period first. Could this be a sign of something more serious? I know not getting your period is very bad for your bones. Thanks!
