I had only 75cm of my intestines bypassed, is this enough?

I hope this is enough to lose the weight and keep it off without a life long struggle. I am 5'5" and 259 pre-op and want to get to 140. Is this possible? How much have other here had removed and how did you do. Also is this proximal or distal.
