My stomach hurts, like I've been doing crunches for days...

I know I have a Hiatal Hernia, a very very small one I'm told. I'm also a little sick, and a couple nights ago, I had this coughing fit that kept me up for a couple of hours. I wasnt sore during the day yesterday, but I just woke up this morning and I feel like I've been doing crunches for days on end. The pain (or soreness) is right exactly below my breast bone, on the bottom where the ribs on either side join. I can push on there and it is quite tender. <p> I'm curious, could I possibly have made my small hiatal hernia into a larger one? I am not throwing up, bleeding or anything like that.. just quite sore. And if I perhaps did make it worse, what does that mean for someone who is post op RNY? (If my stoma is poking through the esophogus, it doesnt leave much left of my pouch for food).. or am I getting the whole definition wrong for a Hiatal Hernia? Gosh, I'm rambling, you can tell its early in the morning huh?! Thanks everyone, love a ton, Annie
