Do people age faster after surgery?

I read that after RNY people lack a hormone similar to human growth hormone, which results in rapid aging. I am waiting for ins. approval for a lap RNY. Frankly I feel like I'm 80 right now so I don't think this is going to deter me. (I'm actually 43) Anyone know anything about this.
