4 DAYS POST-OP - normal?- please help-im in a great deal of pain....

I know so many people who say they barely feel anything. I KNOW I just had major surgery and everyone is different. I am only 22 years old. my doc said the surgery (LAP RNY) went well. i got home from the hospital 36 hours ago. My roommie in the hosp. had an open RNY and was moving around and helping ME, before i could her! i walk around when i can, usually every 1-2 hours for 5-10 minutes, otherwise i am sitting up trying to breathe deeply to avoid pneumonia b/c i used to smoke :( or laying down and sleeping. The gas pain has been relieved alot b/c of walking and milk of malgnesia/ But the incisions hurt quite a bit, and i do feel my whole stomach has turned inside out, which i know it has. JUst wondering anyone else's experiences/ My surgeon said i should be his posterchild for this surgery b/c i am so determined and young, but i am in so much pain right now, i do not know how to deal with it, the Percocet only works a little bit. I can hear my tummy rumbling so loud all the time, whether i am eating or drinking or doing nothing. Any help would be great, thanks!
