I have bad pain when I burp. Like I have something stuck in my esophogus...

I have nothing in my stomach now. I can drink tons of water, so no blockage. But, when I burp, its like right afterwards, someone is hitting me in my sternum. Or like something is stuck. This pain goes away not long after it comes on suddenly. I can eat pretty much ok, with no pain. I haven't recently eaten anything to bother my pouch, nor have I recently thrown up. It feels like a bad blockage but there is none. <p> Also, because of this, I wanted to take it easy and just go on fluids for a day. So I had some onion soup for dinner tonight. I must have had 3 mug fills of it, (just the broth). No problems. Then I got to work about 30 minutes later, and I had bad bad bad water water diarreah. Like I was dumping. This went on for an hour. At Work! I came home early and I read the package and it contained a lot of sodium. But no fat or sugar. So did I dump? Or just caught a bug perhaps. But this pain I have is worrying me that I have an ulcer or worse. Any ideas? (I would hate to have to go in to see the doc again so soon, especially on New Years). But I would also hate to let something go for days that needs immediate attention. Thanks for any help.. Nerve wracked in Wisconsin, Annie
