Open Rny - how much pain? for how long?

I'm having an Open RNY distal on 4/20/01. I can't have an epidural. What are your experiences with pain levels, physical recovery period, time spent mostly in bed, how soon you could walk for 15-20 minutes, etc. Would appreciate any and all feedback! Thanks!
