Can I be approved while pregnant?

I am seriously considering having WLS done, but my husband and I are trying for our second (and final) child. Should I just wait until the baby comes to even try to see a doctor, or can I be pre-approved and get a surgery date while still pregnant? I would like to do it while the new baby is still quite small. Plus, is Lap. RNY my best choice? (under these circumstances)
