Bad Taste in my Mouth. Why do I have such a horrible taste in my mouth all they time?

I'm 5 weeks post op and I have this horrible taste in my mouth and it is always very very dry in the back. I produce and excess amount saliva around the dry spot. It gets so dry sometimes it makes me vomit. I'd appriciate any help you can give me.
