Is it possible to undergo WLS, op and post op, by oneself?

My family lives in South America and I don't want to worry them with my WLS. I haven't informed them about my intentions, just mentioned to them a possible gallbladder op. My fam and friends don't share my feelings on WLS and/or liposuction for improvement of health and/or physical appearance. How can I manage WLS on my own?
