Possible hernia

As I was getting ready for bed on Friday night a noticed a bulge about the size of a child's fist in the middle of my belly. I can feel it but it is not painful. Could this be a hernia? You know come to think of it...I never did find that little pop up button from the turkey...hmmm...think I swallowed it and it is just now popping up to tell me I am done? Just kidding about that of course. But I would like hernia input. Thanks. Char open RNY 3-11-03
