Has anyone used the Tony Little Gazelle for at home exercise.

I am scheduled for open ryn on April 14th. I know you are supposed to walk, walk and walk somemore when you get home. Has anyone used the Tony Little for this? I don't have a treadmill and hope this will do as I know how important the exercise after surgery especially to prevent blood clots which is one of the things I really worry about.
