Question about Pre-Op surgery date URINE TEST???

Hi, I am kinda embarressed to ask this but, I just love this site and have made so many new friends and feel I can ask you this. Well, Im kinda worried because a couple of weeks ago I went to "a party" with my boyfriend and some others and people there were smoking that pot. I didn't smoke it, never have and probably never will, but I was right in the midst of all of it and from what I heard it stays in your system if you even smell it for several months. Well, Im nervous about this whole urine test thing, I saw on this website someone mention when you go for your pre-op that they give you a urine test. Do they and what is it for, are they gonna think Im some pothead? I am to have surgery on December 10 and my pre-op is scheduled for 11-26. Thanks!
