Does anyone have any information on liver lesions?

After completing my pre op testing I got a call telling me that I have 3 lesions on my liver and that I need a MRI next week. Has anyone else had this happen? Are we talking "Very Serious"? Will this prevent my surgery? Any information would be really appreciated. I'm pretty worried.
