Has anyone gotten WLS approved through Companion Healthcare used by Bellsouth?

Today I got a call from the hospital where my WLS is supposed to be scheduled to let me know that my insurance, Companion Healthcare HMO through Bellsouth has an exclusion to WLS and that they won't pay for it. Has anyone gotten theirs approved. And if so, how? I am desperate. I feel as if this surgery is my last option and I'm not sure where to go from here.
