Has any experienced Stomach Ulcers Post op?

I had my surgery in 1999 and just recently (last week) have been diagnosed with a stomach ulcer. I am on prevacid and feel a little better. Any one experienced this? Should I be concerned? Should I call my Dr. who did the surgery? Also I have started having IBS (Irritable bowel syndrome) do you think this is all related? I have NEVER had any problems with my surgery till now :( Thanks for your help in advance
