Where are all the age 40+ pictures and stories?

I don't often read stories and see photos of the 40 plus; age that is. All the 30 year olds look great, have had a relatively non-complicated order of events and are generally quite successful. I am 46 and would like to hear from others in that age brackett, who have had the surgery and what you thought of the whole surgery and results. I am shaped like an apple(larger on top that the bottom), I have a large frame as well, PCOS, and a 41 BMI (5'7", 255 lbs). Thanks.
