Having problems with throwing up mucus - graphic

Hi! I am 10 weeks post op and recently I have been having a bad time with mucus. Most days I start to gag and bring up some mucus. No food just the mucus. Tonight a big clump of mucus came up. Also I have a problem with saliva. I am constantly having to spit out saliva. It seems like everytime I spit it out a couple of seconds later I need to spit again. This never happened pre-op with me. Does anybody have the same the problem? Also, has anybody been diagnosed with gout post-op?
