Is United Health Care part of Aetna?

I just had my consult with Dr. Welker. My insurance is United HealthCare Options PPO. We have decided on the DS surgery. He asked me if UHC was part of Aetna. He stated that Aetna is no longer approving DS because they consider it "investigational". Does anyone know if UHC is part of Aetna? Thanks! :)
