How did you prepare your little one's and home for while you'll be in the hospital?

My 3 yr. old is very rambunctious and I'm afraid if I ask my friends to watch my kids (also have a 17 mo. old) they'll be driven crazy! I dont want my husband feeding them Fruit Loops out of the box, sending them to bed at 11:00 at night without a bath etc. Sounds like I don't have much faith in my husband but all of the above examples of my fear are true from the time I dared leave the house in his care! I know this is silly, but it's what I worry about more than anything! How did you all deal with this?
