After antibiotics , my incision is still draining? How long? Can I get my stiches out

Two weeks post op, I started draining at the incision site. My surgeon says it is quite normal. He put me on anitbiotics for a week. My staples hurt and when I feel my stomache getting hard it starts to drain. I am frustrated.
