Doctor disapproval

Today I went to my new pcp and was explaining my history to him and was telling him how my other pcp really didn't approve of the wls and he said he wouldn't of either.. My question is, why?? He told me that down the road I could have irratable bowel syndrome, adhesions, severve stomach pains and malabsoption.. I knew there were complications, but now he has me fearing getting older and what problems may be ahead for me.. Anyone who has a comment please share!! Thanks!!
