Can somebody explain to me if this could happen only because I vomit too much?

2 weeks ago I vomit during 2 days and at the end of the second I had this coffee color vomit, some people told me that could be some vains that were broken and that's why I had this color. I don't have any problem right now but I could't see any Dr. yet. Can somebody tell me if this is something very bad or could be because of so much vomit without anything (even water) in the stomach?
