If they find the bacteria that can cause ulsers during you're endoscope will they?

My surgeon stated during me pre-op endoscopic proceedure, " I think she may have the bacteria that may cause ulsers in her stomach. When I became coherant after the medication, it was too late to ask what would happen? Does or has any one else have or had this???
