Dr. sent infor to BCBS, Ins. said pre-cert for surgery, I can have surgery?

I went to the doctor for my initial consultation 3 weeks ago. I called BCBS last Monday to see if they had received my doctors request for approval on my surgery. They told me to check back today, I did and they said the surgery was approved with a three day hospital stay (unless longer was medically necessary). Does this mean I can schedule my surgery after completing all of the doctor's requirements? I have read all of the posts from people talking about all of the insurance company requirements, this seemed to easy, is there more I need to know?
