please help- abdominalplasty - pre auth approved - but delima

I just talk to the surgeons office that I had planned to get my tummy tuck done at and although i was approved for the surgery, they want the total amount of 7800 bucks up front, now since i cannot afford to come up with that amount I am thinking of going to someone on my plan, as the surgeon i originally picked is not on my plan...Has anyone done this and how did it go? are u gonna have to go through the whole process of getting authorization again? and is it gonna be hard? can i use this pre auth and just switch to another surgeon? any advice will help thanx Deanna
