I am so confused~

I have been reading posts about using the Weight Loss Planner on this site. I went and checked it out. But I am confused now. It says that I must eleminate 1223 calories from my daily diet. This is after I take off my daily exercise for 30 minutes a day at a moderate level. If I am only eating 1000 calories a day, how am I suppose to do this? Am I reading it right? What number am I suppose to be subtracting the 1223 calories from? This is the exact information that I am looking for I just don't know how to read the chart so I know what to do.
