Is Bleaching Okay At 3 Weeks Post-Op???

I am 3 weeks post-op and was wondering if it was okay to bleach my hair for highlights. I heard some where that if there was still anesthesia in my body that it would effect the out come. Could there still be anesthesia in my system? Please help me...IS THERE ANY TRUTH TO THAT????
