Does Estrogen hinder weight loss?

A few years ago when I started taking estrogen the weight started piling on. Two weeks pre-op I stopped taking it per Drs. orders. Post-op the weight just fell off and now that I'm taking it again I can't seem to lose anymore weight, it's been three weeks since I've lost any weight. Anyone else have this problem or any suggestions? Lorraine
