after i eat, i sometimes experience reflux

i am 2 months post op RNY distal and about six times in the last couple of weeks i have experienced some type of reflux. sometimes i throw up from it and sometimes i just dry heave, and most of the time i get a mucousy discharge that comes up. is this normal or should i call my surgeon?
