Will the Insurance speak to my PCP?

My PCP was relutant to refer me, but in the end referred me to the top surgeon of the medical group. That surgeon wrote a really nice letter "strongly endorsing and recommending" me for surgery. That letter was forwarded by him to my group. Now I have my consult on the 27th with the WLS Surgeon. I have many forms of proof of previous attempts, phen-fen, diet centers (supervised), and of course the regular diets we all try, including herbalife, metabolife etc. I also have a letter from my orthopedic surgeon, indicating that I have had knee surgery in the past. And yes you can still hear and feel both knees crack. So my situation does not sound too desperate, but what I am wondering is, will they call my PCP. I have pacificare and I was told that it is my group that approves the surgery, my group already knows I am a candidate. AS for my PCP, I have only seen him for a bit over a year, and prior to that, I did not really have a regular physician due to lack of health insurance. So my PCP will not have a record of all my co-mobidities, as I never really complained to him. I did ask him once for a prescription for orlistat (xenacal) and he said, just diet and exercise. Typical of an lack of obesity related education. Will I be OK with the Surgeon (top on in group) his referral. I have so much documentation. In addition, I have Stress Incontinence, diagnosed in 85, but did not tell PCP, that is rather embarrassing. I have degenerative joint disease, early signs of sleep apnea, numbness in legs, and a family history of obesity, congestive heart failure, thyroid disease and gall bladder disease. Am I worring for nothing..... I just want all my ducks in a row. The end.....
