Has anyone had problems with internal bleeding and anemia?

I am 16 months post-op and sincle last March I have had continuos amemia and several sudden bleeds. This past September the surgeon removed 18 inches of my colon and we hoped that the problem was solved. In December I had another bleed, another endoscopy and colonoscopy that didn't find the source (no ulcers, etc). Two weeks ago, I passed out for several hours and was hospitalized for five days. The doctors did several tests. My iron absorbtion has not been good so they've increased that, but clearly I'm still bleeding. They did a bleeding scan--(a low dosage of radioactive material injected into my blood and then the progression of the material is followed through a special scope. They did not find the bleeding site. Now they are testing my blood every five days and waiting for another dramatic drop in my hemoglobin and will try another scan. Then they plan an angiogram or surgery to stop the bleeding. I consulted with my original WLS surgeon and she thinks they may have to remove the other part of my colon. So, does anyone else know about this or have ideas? Jeanne
