Has anyone had gastric bypass while being stationed overseas?

I am a dependent spouse, and am currently in Aviano,Italy. Is it normal procedure to have the surgery here or will I be sent back to the states or to a military hospital in the states? Thanks in advance for any help or advice. My email address is [email protected] Victoria
