Has anyone had problems getting rid of the fluid?

I had my surgery last Tuesday. This week I was at the Dr. office with VERY swollen ankles and feet. The Dr. put me on Furosemide Oral 10MG. After 2 days of taking this I still have not lost any of the fluid. It hasn't even sent me to the bathroom any more than normal. I have taken this before in pill form and lost 10 pounds in 24 hours. I can't understand why it is not working for me now? Anyone have problems with Edema? What helped you get rid of it?
