Anyone out there had trouble with swelling feet/water retention post op?

Prior to surgery I was taking meds for high blood pressure that included a water pill daily. Since surgery have been off everything. My weight loss is great, 53 pounds in 9 weeks, but this week my feet have become swelled badly...even in the morning after being off them all night. I HAVE had trouble getting all my water in..could this be causing this? I broke down and took a water pill yesterday and lost 5 pounds..so clearly there is a problem. I intend to call the Dr. Monday, but wondered if any of you have had a simular problem? Any thoughts or suggestions are welcome. thanks for your time
