I was on Phen-Fen for over a year, should I worry now about any adverse reactions?

I have seen medical help for other problems, namely my disability which has nothing to do with my obesity. None of the doctors seemed very worried about PPH or suggested that I have an ECG done. I do have a problem of choking on fluids, food or air, I have GERD. Is choking a part of that?Could there be a problem for me if I have this procedure? Thanks for an answer.
