Has anyone had a laproscopic RNY?

I am in the process for being considered for WLS. I will most likely be able to choose between a regular RNY and a laproscopic RNY. Does anyone know of any differences besides the smaller incision site and quicker recovery time? This doctor has been performing RNY laproscopies for almost a year. Any advice? Thank you!
