when can you drink

My birthday is June 19th. My friends are taking me out for my birthday. I had surgery on April 10th. 2005. I have done really well. 30 down and going. My question is will I be able to drink when we go out. I don't drink beer but I do like smerioff ice. Will I be able to handle it? I don't want to get sick and ruin everyone's good time but I also don't like to go dancing and not be able to drink.
