Is it normal to have massive swelling in the pubic area at 4 weeks post op?

Hi I had a Panniculectomy just about 4 weeks Ago. This has been just the most painful recovery I have ever had and I have had several surgeries over the years. From day one, I have had massive swelling especially in the pubic area. I really do not feel much better after 4 weeks. Has anyone had this experience? Please let me know of your experience with this type of surgery. I am in Lake Tahoe.
