Do you adjust your vitamins depending on your food intake

I just discovered the nutrient section on fitday.com so now I can add up just how much of my daily recommended vitamins I am getting from my food intake... My question is how many of you if any count the nutrients that you get in your food toward your total nurtient intake and adjust your vits. LIke I have a protein every morning and since I know the stats in them so say if my protein shake has 400mgs. of calcium then I would only need between 600-800mgs. of additional calcium... Or does every suppliment with the same amount of vitamins no matter what..
